Everything seems to be going right for the Blackhawks. They're off to their best start (7-3-3) since the 2001-02 season, the last time they made the playoffs, and their four-game winning streak could well grow.

They're playing great on home ice, owning a 6-0-2 record at the United Center and playing before a sellout crowd in each of those games. And the good news is, they have three more home games before going on the road.

The Boston Bruins visit Wednesday, the St. Louis Blues Friday and the San Jose Sharks Sunday. Since Joel Quenneville took over from Denis Savard as head coach, the Hawks have a 6-1-2 record.

Quenneville has alternated Nikolai Khabibulin and Cristobal Huet in goal for six straight games, so that strategy of dividing time between the two high-priced goaltenders is working at the moment. The Hawks are also a well-rested bunch. They had five days between their last two games, and injuries have been only minor so far.

BLACKHAWKS 6, FLAMES 1: The Hawks' first-period penalty-killing set the stage for their second six-goal outburst in as many games. Six different players scored goals as the Hawks ran their winning streak to four games and improved to 6-0-2 at the United Center.
